Most recently completed is my "Windows and Whispers" series. Window imagery, combined with ambiguous text, create visual and psychological vignettes for the viewer. The "Weather Dressing" series encorporates female images, surrounded by text appropriated from a 19th century children's reader. The "Nature of Humans" is a group of small canvases that explores the movement of humans, as groups, in a variety of settings and how they compare to animals. My "Nesting" group is assorted bird houses that are a metaphor for home ownership...first home, dream home, leaving the nest. This quiet body of work focuses on the poignancy of the passages of life.
"My Houses" is a series of richly layered, iconic shaped houses. Each house is filled with visual discoveries and quirks, inviting the viewer to visually "walk" through the work just as a buyer would walk through a new home.
